From the Grand Knight’s Desk:
Brothers,
If you would have asked me in December of 2016 that I would be the Grand Knight of this awesome council, I would have smiled and laughed. A lot has changed since December of 2016, we survived a pandemic, put some new doors on the church, working on a custom barbeque smoker, and if I list all that we did since then, the Grand Knights report would probably be 20 pages long! None of this could have been accomplished without the hard work, and dedication of the Men of this council. I am truly honored and blessed to be your leader, and I am looking forward to an exciting year.
Things are starting to get back to normal, we had a slimmed down version of an unofficial Kamporee in Lena this year. We also had a blood drive in June. July is a big month for us, one of our biggest fund raising events, Founders Days is coming the last full weekend of July. It’s a great event for the community, and we have the opportunity to sell some food, to make some money, and donate it to worthy causes! If you haven’t helped at Founders, it’s a great time, even if the weather is warm, rainy, or both! Throughout the month there are other events that I encourage you to attend, CNC design on Tuesday nights, outdoor Rosary on Monday evenings, Adopt a Highway on Saturday morning(free donuts and coffee!) and the list goes on and on. For upcoming events please see the attached calendar. I know I have some big shoes to fill and would like to thank everyone in advance for helping this Council continue to do great things!
