KOFC – Council 11091 Newsletter
From the Grand Knight:
Worthy Brothers:
By the time we meet we will have just passed the holiest of days, Easter. I pray that all have had a fulfilling Lent and celebration of Easter. He Is Risen.
I was out of town but, of course, the council carries on. I have heard that we had a great breakfast with the Easter Bunny. By all reports, my replacements at the beverage station were able to make the coffee and serve the drinks. Thanks to all who worked to make this a success. The same can be said for the fish fry crew. Despite a power outage during clean up the event was a success. The threat of storms kept the numbers down a bit but a light fish fry is still great for the council.
Following quickly after our meeting, we will have our 30th anniversary dinner. I look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate this milestone year. It is a fun event where we do not do the work. Shortly after the Anniversary dinner, Michael and I head to Springfield for the State Convention. I look forward to spending time with our fellow leaders in the state and, hopefully, bringing home some award or another.
Keep an eye out for communications regarding other events. We have plans for feed my starving Children and a blood drive in the next few weeks. This Columbian year, my grand knight year, has been flying by. I am awed by the activity and commitment of this council. The membership makes it all work. Please help finish out the year strong. Before you know it, we will be setting up for founders days.
Thank you all for all that you do.
Vivat Jesus,
GK Kevin Fitzgerald
