It’s that time of year again, parties, snow storms, hustle and bustle, global logistic issues, and Advent. As hard as it may be to do, Advent, and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ should be our focus. Sure buying a Christmas tree, and putting up a Nativity set are all part of Christmas, but now than ever, we as Christians, can forget the reason for the season from our surroundings. The month of December should be a month of anticipation of the birth of Jesus Christ, and a time for us to reflect on what we have and be thankful for. I am thankful for an awesome Thanksgiving that I was able to have at our home, with my parents and my sister in attendance. The food and company was great, I definitely made memories that will last my lifetime. I hope that everyone had the same experience for their Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, it’s time to lend a hand at the tree lot, wrap up nativity set construction, community Nativity setup, have a Knights Christmas party, a breakfast with Santa, blood drive, Knight before Christmas exemplification, and maybe a highway clean-up weather permitting! I would like to thank everyone for doing multiple shifts, on multiple projects that we do as Knights to make our Parish, community, and world a better place.
Vivat Jesus!
